Organic Certification Cost Share Reimbursement – 2025 Update

Are you a certified organic farmer, rancher, or processor/handler wondering about your Organic Certification Cost Share reimbursement for 2025? Here’s what you need to know:

No action needed right now.
USDA has not yet released 2025 cost-share funds. They are completing an administrative step, and the timeline for availability is still unknown.

We’re monitoring this closely and will share updates as soon as new information is available.

About the Program
The USDA Organic Certification Cost Share Program helps offset certification costs, including registration in state programs like the Pennsylvania State Organic Program. In previous years, reimbursements covered 75% of certification fees, up to $750 per scope (crops, wild crops, livestock, and processing/handling). The 2025 reimbursement levels have not yet been announced.

How to Apply
Organic operations can apply through their local Farm Service Agency office or participating state departments of agriculture.
