ORGANIC CERTIFICATION COST SHARE
2025 Cost Share Program Update:
The Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP) faces a critical funding shortfall following the farm bill extension, which omitted support for vital initiatives like OCCSP. While the program successfully provided funding in 2024, no allocations are available for 2025—a devastating blow to the organic farming community.
OCCSP has been a cornerstone in helping organic farms and businesses afford certification costs, offering reimbursements of up to $750 per scope. Without new funding, organic producers can not receive reimbursements for 2025 unless Congress intervenes.
At FOG, we’re proud to have empowered many of Florida’s organic farmers since 2022 with over $81,000 in financial assistance—a testament to our unwavering dedication to supporting organic agriculture. Now, we need your help to ensure this vital program’s future. Raise your voice with us by reaching out to your members of Congress and sharing your experiences about the value of organic cost-share funding. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and advocate for the preservation of organic farming opportunities.
Let’s keep this community thriving!
