Michael A. Berger is a career-long advocate for organic agriculture, an accomplished entrepreneur, and experienced nonprofit board leader. He was a Founding Partner of Elevation Burger, which became the largest purveyor of organic meats in the restaurant industry, and is a founder and the Managing Partner of Pupatella, an internationally acclaimed Neapolitan pizzeria chain in the Washington, D.C. area. Michael has engaged in national policy work to advance and protect organic standards and has served on the boards of Food Tank, The Organic Center, and the Alice Ferguson Foundation, where he currently serves as Treasurer. Michael was also named the “Rising Star” of the organic industry in 2015 by the Organic Trade Association. His leadership blends mission-driven passion with strategic business and financial expertise.
