Virtual Farmers Market Coordinator (VFM)
The VFM will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Backyard Market (BYM), an online farmers market platform created to provide increased sales opportunities for Florida farmers and increase access to locally grown foods to Floridians. BYM operates in four locations throughout south Florida and partners with organizations and businesses within these communities to carry out markets weekly. In addition to day-to-day operations, the VFM Coordinator will work to ensure the longevity and expansion of the BYM Platform into communities across Florida. The VFM Coordinator will develop marketing, training, and capacity building for producers and consumers.

Southeast Region Organic Transition Partnership Program Specialist
Florida Certified Organic Growers and Consumers Inc. (FOG) is looking for a highly motivated, self-directed, and organized individual that will help our non-profit organization carry out the activities that are part of the Southeast Regional Transition Organic Partnership Program project. This project seeks to accomplish 5 main activities: (1) Farmer-to-Farmer Mentoring, (2) Community Building, (3) Technical Assistance and Training, (4) Data Collection and (2) Workforce Development. The objective of this project is to provide technical assistance and wrap-around support for transitioning and existing organic farmers in the U.S. Southeast states and territories, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.   The individual should be an excellent communicator, creative, and personable. The individual should have exceptional skills in forming community partnerships and can promote and facilitate the project’s key activities and events to support potential organic and transitional farmers and partners.
