INTELLECTUAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Ecological understanding history and principles of organic crop production.
COGNITIVE SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Knowledge and understanding of the National Organic Program (NOP) regulations, standards, and practices. USDA and FDA food safety standards. OHSA workplace safety standards
PRACTICAL/APPLIED/TRADE SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Applied knowledge of organic crop management (allowed fertilizer and chemical inputs), weed and pest management, crop rotation, integrated crop management.
THOUGHTFUL THINKING/LEARNING SKILLS
Workplace skills to enhance leadership abilities, cooperative teamwork, and case study methods to increase problem-solving skills in experiential farm opportunities.
COMMUNICATION SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Food safety tracking and reports.
