November 2009 > FOG welcomes new staff

Florida Organic Growers' (FOG) Education and Outreach Program and its Certification Program welcome new staff.

Travis Mitchell joined FOG as a GIFT Gardens Coordinator. He is a recent University of Florida grad with much organic growing experience, some of which was obtained during his time volunteering with GIFT Gardens. Stephen Dennis also joins GIFT Gardens. Dennis was placed at FOG through the Florida Institute for Workforce Innovation and is the new right-hand man helping with GIFT Garden installations.

Quality Certification Services (QCS) welcomes Jose Perez as a Certification Coordinator specializing in crops. He has a strong background in sustainable agriculture and agronomy and has a great deal of experience in that respect, especially in Latin America.
